June 22, 2026 – The Alaska Democratic Party is using Pride Month to celebrate Fairbanks Democrat Rep. Ashley Carrick, highlighting her status as the first openly bisexual person to serve in the Alaska Legislature.
In a social media post,, the party wrote:

“🏳️🌈 This Pride Month, we celebrate Rep. Ashley Carrick! As an openly bisexual member of the Alaska Legislature, Rep. Carrick works to ensure Alaska’s laws reflect and serve all communities. Her leadership helps build a more representative and inclusive state for everyone. 💙”
Carrick, who represents House District 35, was elected in 2022 and took office in 2023. She was one of Alaska’s first three openly LGBTQ+ state legislators, alongside gay Rep. Andrew Gray and former Rep. Jennie Armstrong, who identified as “pansexual.”
According to commonly accepted definitions, bisexuality refers to a person who experiences romantic, emotional, or sexual attraction to more than one gender.
Before running for office, Carrick worked as a legislative staff member for former Rep. Adam Wool and for Sen. Scott Kawasaki. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and later received a master’s degree in public health from the University of Alaska Anchorage.
No openly bisexual legislators are known to have served previously in either chamber of the Alaska Legislature. In fact, Alaska had no openly LGBTQ+ legislators until the election of Carrick, Gray, and Armstrong in 2022.
The Alaska Democratic Party’s post reflects a broader trend in liberal identity politics, where race characteristics and heartthrob preferences are frequently emphasized alongside policy positions and legislative accomplishments.
Carrick’s legislative record includes work on education, public health, housing, and workforce issues. Last week, she signed a subpoena to try to force the director of the Division of Elections to hand over documents to the House Judiciary Committee.
Yet the Alaska Democratic Party chose to highlight her sexual orientation as the defining feature of its Pride Month recognition.

Democrats show record low, lack of pride in America: NBC poll
To Democrats, Carrick’s bisexuality represents progress. But a recent poll by NBC shows that Democrats have hit a new low in regards to their pride in America.
To many Alaskan, the celebration of a lawmaker’s sexual preferences may illustrate a political movement increasingly preoccupied to the point of obsession with personal identity categories rather than the policy debates that affect the daily lives of Alaskans.

Clutchable pearls are on sale at Freddy’s. Downing has a knack for expanding a nothing burger in the service of social division.
Wouldn’t “social division” include the demonstrably divisive term “bi”? Since bi as a prefix denotes there being two of a thing and leftists do not believe in the construct of their being only two sexes by definition the term bisexual is necessarily divisive use of the term by the leftist community.
“Carrick worked as a staffer for Adam Wool.”
There it is. The former legislator Wool sent thousands of drunks home on the public hiways after heavy swinging at his bar. Mostly college students. Carrick was probably one of them. Wool should have been put in jail for 10 years for his unprosecuted crimes.
New low for you Steve-O. You are usually more responsible to intellect than that.
Just trying to follow the logical conclusions of wokeness, sorry if that offends you.
Well… Who cares?
I care about the Term Limits Bill Bryce Edgmon handed her to bury in the back of the bottom shelf.
Was Carrick born a lizbian or was it public school brainwashing? Since she enjoys an occasional oosik, her LGBTQ quotient just went up a few inches.
LOL. With degrees in Psychology and Public Health she can now move on to a PhD and try to figure out how some women still get std’s when changing oosiks.
Enough of exhibitionists. I could care less about this woman or her proclivities. Also, homosexuals are like left hand monkey wrenches. What use are you?
Why is this news? Isn’t MAGA all about freedom, liberty, and personal choice?
Seems like you should be asking the Alaska Democratic Party since they are the ones who decided to share that Representative Ashley Carrick is an openly bisexual member of the Alaska Legislature, they seem to have found it news worthy.
Isn’t Ashley married to a guy? Must be some awesome 3 somes for him. Is he bi too?
He’s non-binary. Which makes her a negative integer, unless, shes with her lesbian swinger, making her then a positive integer. When the trio gets together for sex it looks more like trigonometry. Do the math.
Carrick knew lesbian was not enough to distinguish her from others in the “LGBYTUOPR community” so she had to spoce it up. Apparently going trans and/or identifying as black like Rachel Dolezal was a bridge too far for her.
Gentle Readers, let’s be nice to Representative Ashley Carrick.
.
Unlike her colleagues, Representative Ashley Carrick has been honest, up front, signalling she can be bought, blackmailed, or manipulated.
.
And in the Holy Party of City of Juneau, that’s something worth knowing -and exploiting- is it not?
