March 7, 2026 – The Covid years of fear have ended, and six years have passed since it first appeared on the scene. Why should we care how it originated or what our government may have had to do with it?
We must care. Why? Because this type of “pandemic” will come again and the government will dust off the Covid-19 play book to make decisions.
From the beginning, some were blaming the Chinese Wuhan Institute of Virology its creation. Others said the virus was let loose from the Chinese wet markets, with blame falling on either the poor pangolin or bats. This later version of its creation was strongly lobbied by Saint Fauci.
As pressure mounted on China, it began to blame the US for the virus’ creation.
As is often the case, the truth lies some place in between.
It took years, but the pangolin was finally free from being blamed and the most likely scenario is that the Covid-19 virus was leaked from the WIV. Saint Fauci desperately wanted to blame the pangolin because he knew the National Institutes of Health was funding virus research at Wuhan.
But where did the original virus itself come from? That gets a little more interesting.
Judicial Watch has been actively seeking the truth from the beginning and has repeatedly sued the government for information through the Freedom of Information Act.
In November, Judicial Watch submitted a FOIA request to the Department of War for records on all gain-of-function funding proposals submitted to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency Biological Technologies Office prior to the December 2019 Covid-19 outbreak (Judicial Watch Inc. v. U.S. Department of Defense (No. 1:26-cv-00433)).
After the request was misrouted, it finally got to the right agency. JW was supposed to hear a response back by the end of the year. Since JW received no response, they filed again in February, 2026.
In April of 2024 the Senate Homeland Security Committee requested information about the DEFUSE project, a 2018 grant proposal led by EcoHealth Alliance and the Wuhan lab. Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), then the ranking member of the committee wrote: “[A]t least 15 federal agencies knew from the beginning of the pandemic that EcoHealth Alliance and the Wuhan Institute of Virology were seeking federal funding in 2018 to create a virus genetically very similar if not identical to COVID-19.”
“Gain-of-function proposals likely were active in the Defense Department’s pipeline prior to the pandemic,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “Our lawsuit intends to find out what these proposals entailed.”
Judicial Watch has a great history of getting the information it wants on Covid-19 and its origin.
- In June 2025, Judicial Watch sued the War Department for all records regarding U.S. military personnel who attended the World Military Games in Wuhan, China and if any developed Covid. There was a December 2022 report issued by the Pentagon titled “Report to the Committees on Armed Services of the Senate and House of Representatives that stated seven “service members who attended the games exhibited COVID-19-like signs and/or symptoms” during the time surrounding their attendance at the games.
- In 2024, records obtained from the FBI through a FOIA request showed an April 2020 email exchange among personnel at the bureau’s Newark Field Office. These emails referenced Dr. Anthony Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases grant to the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China, describing it as including gain-of-function research that “would leave no signature of purposeful human manipulation.”
- Records from the Food and Drug Administration showed that a Pfizer study surveyed 23 people in 2021 to gauge reactions to its Covid vaccine booster before asking the FDA to approve it.
- Records from the Department of Health and Human Services contained the initial grant application and annual reports to the National Institutes of Health from EcoHealth Alliance. Discussed was the aim of its work with the Wuhan Institute of Virology to create mutant viruses “to better predict the capacity of our CoVs [coronaviruses] to infect people.”
- NIAID records showed that it gave nine China-related grants to EcoHealth Alliance to research coronavirus emergence in bats and was the NIH’s top issuer of grants to the Wuhan Lab itself.
- DHHS records included an “urgent for Dr. Fauci” email chain, citing ties between the Wuhan Lab and the taxpayer-funded EcoHealth Alliance.

Even the World Health Organization has a new playbook for the next “pandemic” that includes worldwide monitoring and following individuals’ vaccination status and illness. WHO alleges it is not after a nation’s sovereignty. However, through amendments to Articles 1 and 12, the WHO Director General may now declare a pandemic emergency or an acute public health emergency of international concern in the event of a communicable disease [11,13].
Will we ever get to the bottom of finding the original cause of Covid-19? And if we do, will anyone ever be held accountable?
Time will tell, as administrations change. I would like to believe we would never fall for that old “total control of your life” play book, but fear is a powerful tool. And many globalists learned how to use it.

From the beginning of the pandemic, the behavior of Anthony Fauci seemed odd. A distinguishing characteristic of a scientist – at least in my view – is curiosity. Yet in his statements and actions, I observed very little of this quality. I never recall him openly speculating on the origins of the virus. I do not recall him engaging in dialogue of the “we could do this – or we could do that” variety. He never engaged in open debate or encouraged it. He was always playing and singing the same tune – written by himself. I could go back and dig out some of his statements but it is my recollection that the lab leak hypothesis was consistently downplayed and dismissed.
Subsequently we have learned of Fauci’s heavy-hand in editing and manipulating the “Proximal Origins” paper and use of private email to avoid FOIA rules. The facts surrounding a possible “off-the-books” visit by Fauci to CIA Headquarters are still not yet known. Much of his “advice” has been debunked.
Against this background and often overlooked is that Fauci and Dr. Francis Collins were very strong advocates for gain-of-function research. Roughly speaking, they believed and perhaps still believe that creating lethal viruses is worth the risk if it enables the ability to counter those viruses. (This seems like some kind of a “God” complex to me.)
My suspicion is that Dr. Fauci KNEW FROM THE BEGINNING from where and how the Covid 19 virus began. He avoided, obfuscated, misdirected and covered-up to distract from his own involvement. He gave much “advice” that had no scientific basis. It is very difficult for me to see him as anything other than a bad actor. The effects of the virus on our society and government have been profound. Accountability is not an option; it is required.
I would suggest that the important outcome from COVID is not its genesis (US-funded research conducted in China), but the self-immolation of the entire public health apparat, which in some ways was long past due. Add the medical establishment (doctors and hospitals) which went along with the fraud to that list. We will never, ever trust them again, which is a positive outcome, as you are right, they are gonna try it again. Cheers –

Linda, you are right, we must care. Because one day, the number of seasonal flu cases will once again inexplicably drop to zero, and a mystetious “virus” will once again take over society. The utter gullibility of people across the world was put on full display for years. Those who seek to control others saw it. They will not give up easily.

The loss of two years of education and the economy is two of the obvious disastrous results of the CUVID pandemic. A less obvious but potentially more dangerous result is the loss of trust in our medical system and government. What happens when (not if) a bad actor or accident spreads a plague with a double-digit death rate? Can we develop treatment or vaccine in time? Will people take advantage of it? What effect will the COVID mis-information/lies have on countering a pandemic? How do you choose between a cure or vaccine that has a possible harmful effect or chance catching a highly fatal disease if you don’t trust the source?
Why the COVID pandemic came into being is extremely important. Was COVID an accident? If so, why was it being done in the first place and who is responsible for screwing up, so precautions can be taken against it happening again. If it wasn’t an accident, was it a test case for future biological warfare or an attempt to undermine our society and government. If the latter, how are we preparing to defend against the next attack?
Sounds like a bad novel, doesn’t it? What if it isn’t?
