This is an endorsement of Harmony Tomaszewski running for District 34, State House of Representatives.
Harmony Tomaszewski is an amazing individual and that is why we are excited to endorse her for District 34, State House of Representatives. We need her in Juneau!
She has lived in Fairbanks for over 40 years, married to her husband, Frank and raised five children for 31 of those years. She has operated a successful business, has run kids’ co-ops, kids’ tutoring and classes, adult classes on business and how-to birch syrup. She began the Community Food Pantry Dispersal at Journey Church and organized all the volunteers about ten years ago and it now feeds over 100 families each week.
She is an education advocate! She has volunteered with “Gal’s Read” at local schools. She has chaired the GVEA Member Advisory Committee (the only committee on which she served and was paid a small stipend that is required by GVEA, served on the FNSB School Curriculum Board and the FNSB Climate Action Committee.

That couple has displayed extremely poor judgement individually and collectively and they are the last two who should attempt to represent Fairbanks and Republicans in the state legislature. It was completely wrong for Robb Myers to “gift” the state senate seat he held to Frank. You may recall that at the last possible minute, Frank was the only person who knew of Myers’ decision not to run for re-election and, therefore, the only one ready to file the paperwork two minutes before the deadline. Then bad ol’ Frank set up the same scenario for the house seat he held and has attempted to “gift” it to Harmony.

Alaska will be damaged by Frank in the state senate. The matter is made much worse if Harmony were to end up in the state house. When you vote, VOTE FOR JOY BETH COTTLE rather than the Republican candidate running in this race!
E. B. the far lefty Democrat weighs in at Alaska Story. I’m voting for Harmony. She is a no-nonsense, straight married mom. And a strong Christian. I’m sure that’s really what bothers E. B. the most.

“The first husband wife duo in the Alaska Legislature.” You’ve forgotten about Tom Anderson and Lesil McGuire? I’m sure she would like everyone to forget about that, but history is history and you can’t exactly run from it. There were other examples of married couples who met while serving together in the legislature, but weren’t married while they served (two that immediately come to mind are Bill Boardman and Genie Chance, and George Silides and Kay Poland).
