July 23, 2026 – Lt. Gov. Nancy Dahlstrom will host two rounds of public hearings on three ballot measures that Alaska voters will consider this year, including initiatives addressing campaign contribution limits, voter qualifications and ranked-choice voting.
The hearings are scheduled for Monday, July 27, and Wednesday, Aug. 5.
Each hearing will begin with statements from a group supporting the ballot measure and a group opposing it, followed by an opportunity for Alaskans to offer public testimony.
Ballot Measure 1, the Restoring Alaska’s Campaign Finance Limits Initiative, will be heard from 9 to 11 a.m. on both July 27 and Aug. 5. The initiative is identified by the state as 23RCF2.
Ballot Measure 3, titled “An Act Addressing Voter Qualification,” will be heard from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on both dates. The state identification number is 25USCV.
Ballot Measure 2 would restore political party primaries, end ranked-choice voting in general elections and repeal recent campaign finance laws. Hearings on that measure, identified as 24ESEG, will run from 2 to 4 p.m. on July 27 and Aug. 5.

The public hearings are required as part of the process for measures placed before Alaska voters.
