Breaking: Three US service members killed, five wounded in Operation Epic Fury

March 1, 2026 – Three US service members have been killed in action and five others seriously wounded as part of Operation Epic Fury, according to a 9:30 am ET update from United States Central Command.

Several additional personnel sustained minor shrapnel injuries and concussions and are in the process of being returned to duty, the command said. Major combat operations remain ongoing.

“The situation is fluid,” CENTCOM stated, adding that out of respect for families, it will withhold additional information — including the identities of the fallen — until 24 hours after next of kin have been notified.

Operation Epic Fury began Feb. 28 at the direction of the President of the United States. U.S. and partner forces launched coordinated strikes targeting elements of Iran’s security and military infrastructure.

According to CENTCOM, the operation aimed to dismantle the Iranian regime’s security apparatus, focusing on locations deemed to pose an imminent threat. Targets have included Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps command and control facilities, Iranian air defense systems, missile and drone launch sites, and military airfields.

“The President ordered bold action, and our brave Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, Guardians, and Coast Guardsmen are answering the call,” said Adm. Brad Cooper, commander of CENTCOM, in a statement.

In the initial hours of the operation, US and Israeli forces employed precision munitions launched from air, land, and sea platforms. CENTCOM also confirmed that its Task Force Scorpion Strike used low-cost one-way attack drones for the first time in combat.

Following the first wave of strikes, CENTCOM forces reported successfully defending against what it described as hundreds of Iranian missile and drone attacks.

Officials described Operation Epic Fury as involving the largest regional concentration of American military firepower in a generation.

  1. God bless the service men and women sustaining Operation Epic Fury. True patriots and heros protecting our freedoms in the USA and the world.🙏

        1. Ask trump or hegseth. See if you can get a consistent answer. For the record, Micah and I are on the same page on this one.

          1. I figured with your statement you might have an opinion, I guess that hasn’t been issued to you yet huh?

      1. They are dying for little reason in a soon forgotten conflict in the twilight of our empire. It has nothing to do with America First, patriotism or defending our freedom. It is the graveyard of our coalition we needed to defeat marxism at home and renew our economy and culture. Stop drinking the kool aid.

My heart goes out to the families who now have a permanent hole in their heart and empty place setting at the table.

      2. I’m sorry to say, you’re “dead” wrong. It has “EVERYTHING” to do with our freedoms in the USA. Basically it slows to stop them from coming overseas to hit us AGAIN. (Unless you ‘re one that believes the 9-11 was a farce..like some “stoogies” believe.) As one of those who was living in Germany,(military) when Iran in 1979 was over taken by the “idiots” that took over our embassy in Iran, making them hostages and killed many peacefull Iranians and continued to harass and slautered many others in many other countries..This incident has given me a peaceful settlement of those years ago.

        1. kc, don’t get me wrong, I detest Iran’s government. But their crimes against the US and the world should be dealt with in a different way. Like diplomacy. Diplomacy worked under the the Obama administration. Iran signed an agreement to never have nuclear weapons (and before anyone cuts my throat with their keyboard, there were dozens of ways to verify Iran’s nuclear status in the agreement). Then bufflehead trashed the agreement and now, to distract Americans from his failures, Trump veered from all morality, legality and process and we have WWIII.

  2. The Evan- bot is Evan- botting.again. yeah , sure that” diplomacy ” ( meaning enormous cash bribes. None of such was kicked back,of course!!!!) Worked. Those ballistic missiles we were paying them not to develop, are now landing on our people, and our stuff, and our allies. If you call that” working” I dont. I call it extortion and being a patsy. Take your blinders of hatred toward one man off, before you run into an object in your path. No, dont!! It’ll be fun to watch you fall on your backside with a bent nose
