Aug. 29, 2026 – I have extreme concern for the future of the State of Alaska, its leadership, and the expectation of integrity that a government official should hold. In my opinion, “Decoy Dan,” the “other Dan Sullivan” candidate for Senate, is nothing but a despicable fraud. An outright insult to all Alaskans. And anyone who supports this underhanded tactic should not be proud, but ashamed of themselves.
Alaskans deserve a ballot that is fair, transparent and easily understood. The Division of Elections found that “Decoy Dan” Daniel J. Sullivan, Jr.’s filing was obviously intended to confuse and mislead voters. Clearly, dirty politics. Although the courts ruled that existing law did not give the Division authority to remove “Dirty Dan,” the final ballot makes the distinction clear. Senator Dan S. Sullivan is identified as the registered Republican incumbent.
Dan J. Sullivan, Jr. is not a genuine Republican candidate, or for that matter, a genuine candidate at all. His name, party registration, and campaign presentation were chosen to confuse voters. His candidacy is an attempt to rig the election. And he should be disowned by honorable Republicans, Democrats, and Independents, alike.
The Division’s investigation documented that Daniel J. Sullivan Jr. sought ballot access using “Dan Sullivan,” although state records identified him as “Daniel J. Sullivan, Jr.” He even initially requested the ballot name “Dan S. Sullivan,” using Senator Sullivan’s middle initial. And he changed his voter registration to Republican when he filed, and coincidentally shortly after Peltola’s visit to his town of Petersburg. This is shameful and disgusting on the part of him and those who conspired with him. The Division also cited similarities between his campaign presentation and Senator Sullivan’s campaign. Decoy Dan J. Sullivan, Jr.’s candidacy is a sign of political desperation. His obvious attempt to mislead voters shows outright contempt for all Alaskans.

A combination of cross over democrats trying to get him in the final 4 and some number of idiot Republicans, with a small number of idiots confused. I think the ranking here are crossover democrats, idiot voters, and idiot Republicans. WSJ had a piece on this Friday. Hint: They think we’re idiots also. Cheers –
Alaska has become an outlaw land with RCV. But Bill, as a criminal defense attorney up in Fairbanks, you should be seeing an uptick in business? As despicable as they are, Democrats need the most courtroom representation. And their brothers and sisters on the bench should be reported to the Bar.
A vote for Dan Sullivan of Petersburg has served for some as a protest vote. Alaskans never see much of Dan Sullivan of Ohio unless he is actively campaigning for election. He does not get involved with the concerns of the average individual Alaskan and his constituent services staff is largely uninterested and ineffective (maybe they are already looking for new jobs?). I’d like him to stand up to Trump’s harebrained decisions: the war he lodged against Iran, his refusal to release the Epstein files, terrible economy and high cost of basic necessities, selection of unqualified individuals to serve on his cabinet, juvenile behaviors and name calling, tearing down the White House east wing for an unauthorized ball room, renaming the Kennedy Center for himself, adding an arch in DC dedicated to himself, and including a young woman (Natalie Harp) with no security clearance in high level conversations and decision making. I sincerely hope Suzanne allows this post.
You’ve been asleep. Dan S. Sullivan has been in Alaska for over 30 years and is married to an Alaska Native woman he met in college. Who are you? A recent transplant to Alaska? You sound ignorant.
