Aug. 29, 2026 – A message to Alaskan men: We guys in Alaska have a problem, self-imposed. Unlike many parts of the economy, guys here in Alaska outnumber the ladies by about 2%.
Yet, if we look at recent elections, the Ladies are turning out to vote while the guys stay home, outnumbering them by nearly 6,000. And when they do that, Democrats, leftists, and awful, abysmal governance wins.
Why is that?
The problem comes about when what the ladies bring to the dance overrides what the guys do. An example is education funding. From the feminist perspective, more is better. Period. Full Stop, even when every single rational analysis demonstrates that additional educational funding results in worse results rather than better. From the male perspective, the question is what bang are we getting for our buck?
Over time, this tends to shift election outcomes leftward, electing more Democrats.
We are seeing such an outcome today, though with a twist, with the feminist worldview on the view of electing a Democrat governor, a woman as US Senator who couldn’t be bothered to even show up for 20% of her votes 2023-2024, and install a female-led Democrat majority in the Alaska Legislature.
This female-led Legislature already put your family at risk by refusing to even consider natural gas supplies in Southcentral Alaska. This winter has the potential to be a cold, bleak and deadly one.
It appears that enough of the guys in Alaska have decided that they no longer need to participate in the political wars, not unlike men choosing not to attend the feminist cesspools Higher Education has become.
The problem is that the political Left, which has an incredible hold on college-educated ladies these days, is a lot like the Terminator. They never give up. They never quit. They never take a day off. Even when they win, they are still angry at men.
When men opt out of the battlefield of politics or ideas, we all lose. And enough of us have done so in recent years and are doing so today, that the feminized left is rolling over all that we hold dear in this state and nation like so many rainbow-colored steam rollers.
Remember those famous words of the great philosopher Wayne Gretzky:
You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.
The next few years are important in Alaska, if for no other reason than to keep the lights on and our homes warm. It is not the time to cede the political battlefield or the battlefield of ideas to the feminized left. It is time to stand up and put yourself, your family, friends and community in a position to move into a robust, free, liberty and abundance-based, optimistic, sustainable, wealthy future, where we can all pursue our dreams and ensure our kids, grandkids and great grandkids can do the same.
We’re not gonna do that by dropping out, guys. Not gonna do that by ceding political outcomes to the feminized left, Democrats or whatever they are calling themselves these days.
The only way to ensure a future is to get off the dime and participate in the political wars. Yes, I know it sucks. Yeah, I know that it is an endless slog, but it is a righteous slog. The only people I know that can ensure a negative outcome are the guys sitting out the fight.
Come on in. The water’s fine. It’ll be fun. You’ll be among friends. We’ve got a state to save.

Under Sarah Palin, we had a first dude. Todd was pretty conservative and a guy’s guy. Under JKT we will get a what?…..a first boyfriend, or maybe a first gay husband? In Alaska. Sadly, Gimarc is right. The only way to put a reasonable Conservative into office is to get out the straight MEN’S vote in overwhelming numbers this fall. Otherwise, we are doomed by a homosexual governor candidate who also happens to be a communist. I will back Bernadette first, then Bronson, then Treg. 1,2,3. That’s all. And pray RCV works one last time before everything goes to hell

Have you read the promise that he made? Have you read what the district chair in the district he made the promise to had to say about it? Who do you think will take his place if and when he sits this election out?
I’m not calling for anyone to sit this election, or anyother, out. I’m calling for people to follow our current election law and to support conservative candidates. If we can’t agree on that then yeah it’s a personal problem for me.
Come on Steve-O, we’ve both read the promise. Suzanne even published the relevant excerpt in a previous post, so everyone else who wanted to read it didn’t work so hard to find it. I am always skeptical when someone needs to explain what I just read. From a persuasion standpoint, that is called two movies on the same screen.
In my perfect world ALL current Republicans who got fewer votes than Bernadette drop out by COB Monday. I don’t care who they are replaced with. Democrats are poised to do to Bronson what they did to Lindauer the day after he secured the nomination. They will try the same thing to Bernadette, though JKT is not without his own baggage. Should be a remarkably “clean” election (/sarc).
Republican candidates and their supporters need to remember that this is not the last statewide election. There will be another one in 2028 to replace Lisa. Gonna be difficult to support any one of that crowd should their fingerprints be on electing JKT statewide. But life is about choices. Choose wisely, guys. Cheers –

I will not argue the go no go point that Bronson finds himself in. Regardless of how you spin it his campaign hit head winds and he has not the fuel to arrive at his destination. WE got one shot at this thing and Captain Bronson has the chance to be a hero and drop out or be a ZERO and stay in. Very simple.
I have trouble with Bronson, I supported him when he ran for Mayor, however it turns out he was not effective in the Job. Granted, it was a hostile environment and apparently being a Pilot had not trained him in running an organization or working with people, at least beyond the flight deck.
Let us circle the wagons around one candidate, and we better do it quickly!
Steve and agimarc. Alex wrote that article in the heat and disappointment of the primary results. It is disappointing Bronson, Treg, Bishop and Hughes didn’t drop out in support of AKGOP unity. It’s what it is. By the looks of it. The three will be trying for the Rank Red strategy while every Democrat votes for JKT plus any other voter who won’t vote for Wilson, Bronson, Taylor, bishop.

Agreed Sir! If Alaskan men put 2 hours of effort into talking to a handful of coworkers or friends that are ambivalent about politics we can make a large enough margin to push some candidates across the finish line. We can do this with a little individual effort and keep this wonderful State a place that a normal working individual can afford to live, and ideally support a family.
Sweet Jesus, will you look at all those ballots …they’ll be counting ’em for weeks!
RCV — Of the Left, by the Left and for the Left…! See what it’s causing? We have to pinch our noses and vote Wilson so that a JKT doesn’t win?
Wilson is good on certain principles but would simply bow to any forces that would help her climb the political ladder. She claims she’s not a politician? She is a politician, so hypocrisy applies here!
And underlying this article, reading between the lines, is the fact that an unfortunately high percentage of women are leftists. And too many men aren’t pushing back against this fact. I love my pets, but don’t love cleaning up their messes…..Bronson should stay in the race. If that were to result in an RCV win for a jackass fool communist, that may be a good thing in the long run. Why? Because it would prove how bad RCV is! Rock bottom may have to be reached before enough people finally become engaged.
PS….Nick has been doing well for Alaska, but endorsing Wilson is unfortunate.
While men and women are calling for Men to stand up, be counted, and man up; us women should be called out for Shoving the men to the back so we can stand in his place, belittling the men in our lives, putting down his ideas, us women criticizing a guy for “just being and talking like a guy that sounds too rough compared to how most women communicate” . No wonder men would rather retreat to fishing streams and rivers or the back country on a four wheeler and gun strapped for a hunting trip. watching sports games, taking more care of his physique and health, or indulging in sexual pleasures THAN taking a stand snd speaking up when Women have been putting the guys down since their childhoods.
So. While we are trying to encourage our men to step up, take a stand, and be counted. Us women need to quietly take a step aside not being a back seat driver and instead of trying to get attention but to stand behind him.
