Letter to the editor: Vote for Harmony Tomaszewski for House District 34

This is an endorsement of Harmony Tomaszewski running for District 34, State House of Representatives. 

Harmony Tomaszewski is an amazing individual and that is why we are excited to endorse her for District 34, State House of Representatives. We need her in Juneau! 

She has lived in Fairbanks for over 40 years, married to her husband, Frank and raised five children for 31 of those years. She has operated a successful business, has run kids’ co-ops, kids’ tutoring and classes, adult classes on business and how-to birch syrup. She began the Community Food Pantry Dispersal at Journey Church and organized all the volunteers about ten years ago and it now feeds over 100 families each week.

She is an education advocate! She has volunteered with “Gal’s Read” at local schools. She has chaired the GVEA Member Advisory Committee (the only committee on which she served and was paid a small stipend that is required by GVEA, served on the FNSB School Curriculum Board and the FNSB Climate Action Committee.
