THE ALASKA STORY
Sept. 14, 2026 – A majority of Democrat voters now identify as supporters of the Democratic Socialists of America, according to a new national Quinnipiac University poll. It’s another indication of how far the party’s ideological center has moved to the left.
The survey found that 59% of Democrats consider themselves supporters of the DSA, while 30% said they do not. Another 12% did not answer or said they did not know.
Support for the socialist organization remains far lower among the wider electorate. Just 26% of all registered voters surveyed identified as DSA supporters, compared with 66% who said they were not supporters.
The partisan division was stark. Only 2% of Republicans identified as DSA supporters, while 96% rejected the label. Among independent voters, 22% described themselves as supporters and 70% said they were not.
Women were also more likely than men to embrace the organization: 32% of women identified as DSA supporters, compared with 20% of men. Fifty-nine percent of women and 73% of men rejected the designation.
The DSA describes itself as the nation’s largest socialist organization, with more than 100,000 members and chapters in all 50 states. It is an activist organization rather than a registered political party, but it recruits, trains and supports candidates, most of whom seek office through Democratic Party primaries.
The organization says it wants working people to exercise democratic control over the economy and society. Its constitution states that it rejects an economic system based on private profit and favors “popular control of resources and production” and economic planning. Communism, in other words.
Its national priorities include expanding organized labor, advancing a Green New Deal and building what it calls independent political power. The organization’s positions are described on its website.
The socialist label remains a liability with the electorate as a whole.
When asked whether a candidate’s identification as a democratic socialist would affect their vote, 43% said it would make them less likely to support that candidate. Seventeen percent said it would make them more likely, while 35% said it would make no difference.
Among Democrats, 39% said the identification would make them more likely to vote for the candidate, 11% said less likely and 43% said it would make no difference. Among independents, 14% said more likely, 34% said less likely and 48% said it would make no difference.
Republicans rejected the label most strongly: 88% said they would be less likely to support a candidate who identified as a democratic socialist.
The takeover of the Democratic Party is nearly complete. While nearly six in 10 Democrats now say they support the DSA.
Quinnipiac surveyed 970 self-identified registered voters across the contiguous United States from Sept. 3-6. Alaska was not included, but Alaska Democrats voted for Bernie Sanders, a socialist, for president in 2016.
The survey, conducted through live interviews on landlines and cellphones, has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3.9 percentage points, including the design effect. Full results are available from Quinnipiac University.

Yeah. They “socialists” (read marxists) are an existential threat to the American way of life. That’s why the neocons / zionists who destroyed our governing coalition for a foreign country are traitors of the worst kind. We needed that coalition- and the clear precepts that constituted that coalition- to keep the marxists out of power. That meant no war, mass deportations, re-industrialization, and a war against the oligarchy (deep state) who runs this country. We got none of that.
And now the R’s are going to get smoked by indifference in November, because there is a cost to lying and betraying people.
“That’s why the neocons / zionists who destroyed our governing coalition for a foreign country are traitors of the worst kind.”
Huh???
The DSA/Marxists are on the rise and somehow conservatives and Jewish people are the traitors, not the Marxists, who want to do away with our constitution, the senate, the supreme court, law enforcement and borders and instead implement an oligarchy of their own??
The DSA/Marxist have always existed, but after the Covid debacle of social media echo chambers, pushing depraved views in the name of equity and intolerance to other views, they reached critical mass to step from the sidelines into the “main stream”, aided by poor or non-existent civic education in our schools. Supported by academia and the press, they fuel envy and greed. Any system based on hate for your fellow member is doomed to fail, as it ignores the most basic fact of all, individuality and the need for freedom.
BTW I think your definition of “oligarchy” does not jive with the one AOC and Bernie peddle, as the deep state is certainly more than a few people, also regarding your demands you are getting 3 out of 4, so what’s your problem?

Well Said
Now you know why the Democrat’s mascot is the “ass.”
