Scott Presler brings election integrity push to Alaska, targets Murkowski with rallies in Fairbanks and Anchorage

May 3, 2026 – Conservative activist Scott Presler brought his national grassroots campaign to Alaska over the weekend, holding rallies in both Fairbanks and Anchorage alongside national activist Jenny Beth Martin, as they urged US Sen. Lisa Murkowski to support federal election legislation known as the “Save America Act,” and urged Alaskans to contact Murkowski’s office to support the voting integrity act.

Presler, a Pennsylvania-based organizer known for voter registration drives and get-out-the-vote efforts, fit the visit in as part of a broader push to influence federal and state election policy. In a social media video filmed in Fairbanks, he said the effort would be conducted “respectfully and peacefully” while applying pressure on Murkowski to back stricter election integrity measures.

“We demand proof of citizenship. We demand photo voter ID,” Presler said, citing polling he said shows strong national support for such requirements.

The Alaska stops drew activists and Republican-leaning voters concerned about election laws, including opposition to Alaska’s ranked-choice voting system. At an Anchorage rally attended by roughly 100 people, participants held signs supporting the proposed federal legislation and calling for changes to the state’s voting system.

In remarks to The Alaska Story after the Anchorage event, Presler said his visit was not limited to short-term advocacy but aimed at building longer-term political infrastructure in the state.

“One thing that we are doing differently… is planting seeds,” Presler said. “If we can sponsor legislation in the next legislative session to require proof of citizenship… my goal is to come back, be that spark to light a fire, and show that I’m going to actually invest back in you.”

He added that he met with local political figures and activists during the trip, including those connected to statewide campaigns.

Presler is widely known in conservative circles for his grassroots work through Early Vote Action, a political action committee focused on voter registration and turnout. He has been credited by supporters with helping boost Republican voter participation in key states, including Pennsylvania in the 2024 election cycle. His activism has included nationwide organizing efforts, volunteer initiatives, and outreach to specific voter groups.

He is also a recipient of the Ronald Reagan Award at the 2021 Conservative Political Action Conference and has built a large following on social media platforms, where he promotes voter engagement and political activism and where he has millions of followers.

During his Alaska visit, Presler also signaled support for efforts to repeal ranked-choice voting in the state, describing it as a system that national organizations are watching closely.

The visit comes amid ongoing political debate in Alaska over ranked-choice voting election laws and procedures, which was adopted by voters in 2020 and used in recent statewide elections.

Murkowski was one of the backers of the ranked-choice voting system, which enabled her to avoid a Republican primary, due to the system’s open primary ballot.

  1. Next legislature season (Jan2027) it depends on how Alaskans vote and whether or not there are challengers to Democrats and those Republican leaders experiencing an identity confusion; and what type of Governor is elected
I’m not very confident about next year while preparing for harder times and how those harder times will impact my Alaskan neighbors
Election integrity in Alaska it would be nice but looks just as far away as the chance to build a gas pipeline

  2. Presley is my kind of guy. Gay on the outside, but straight up the middle. I love his long skinny legs and girly boots. If he brings out the old time conservatives and leads the cheerleading squads against RCV, I’d be proud to have him as a son…..or daughter.
    Derm the Mutt
    Snorting and Farting from Alaska

  3. When you have a long-haired, girly boy who walks, talks, and acts like a homosexual, all of a sudden rank choice voting is starting to sound pretty good after all.

    1. Frankie,
Did you ever stop to think that maybe he’s actually a Democrat plant, cultivating a new effort to get rid of your lousy daughter? The Democrats don’t like you or Lisa. It’s just that they don’t currently have anyone at the moment who can carry the torch for stupidity like the Murkowskis can.

    2. Whatever it takes to keep our daughter in DC and away from us here in Alaska, Frankie. RCV is not really a queer thing, even though it is attributed that way.

    3. Frankie, Presler is a homosexual. Most conservatives do not care as long as he keeps his hands off the children and does not use his platform to push LGNYTXTZ nonsense policy. RCV sounds good to you because your daughter financed it and used it to stay in power despite the majority of R’s wanting her defeated.

  4. What you do in your bedroom is none of our business. Not getting out to vote is shameful. It is awesome that we have young people involved in encouraging Americans to vote for those who speak for them. Lisa Murkowski is shameful the way she ignores what her constituents want. Time for her to go away. Time for the future generations to follow Scott Preslers lead and speak up with their votes. We can’t afford to support politicians that want our tax dollars funding fraud of any kind. Entering the country illegally is fraud and no benefits should be paid to any of them.

  5. Good luck passing anything beneficial to the people of Alaska with the current crop of roll-over Republicans in office.
    .
“We’re not really Democrats — we just vote that way!”

    1. Good point, Greg. Most living Democrats fall into the category of the living dead, or, the dying living. Freakish creatures of nature who’s only wish is to keep the next generation of Democrats as brainwashed as they are.

  6. Accountability and ramifications. Two things that senators in all states do not have to worry about. No matter how you feel about Lisa all the talk will do nothing to change her mind. The only thing things that might help are term limits.
Repeal the 17th amendment. What is the 17th amendment?
The Seventeenth Amendment (Amendment XVII) to the United States Constitution established the direct election of United States senators in each state. The amendment supersedes Article I, Section 3, Clauses 1 and 2 of the Constitution, under which senators were appointed by state legislatures. It also alters the procedure for filling vacancies in the Senate, allowing for state legislatures to permit their governors to make temporary appointments until a special election can be held. Makes a senator more responsible to their state.
If they do not follow the will of the people or any other reason for that matter they can be recalled and fired.

  7. I was inspired by the rally yesterday.
I wrote a paper letter to Sen. M. This morning.
Short and sweet : yes on Save America Act. Yes on photo ID.
Try to find her mailing address on her page on the WWW.
I have the on file from previous letters.
In October of 2015, I received a paper reply on my “fire arms control legislation” letter.

  8. I have Sen. M’s address on file, rather. Her mailing changed from 709 Hart Office building to 522 Hart.
Send a snail mail letter, you may receive a reply.

  9. The conservative hypocrisy just pinned the meter. If democrats invited an Outside girly man to tell us how to vote, you’d be disgusted.

  10. “If democrats invited an Outside girly man to tell us how to vote, you’d be disgusted.” Nope. We would wonder why Democrats did not invite an XY hirsute man wearing women’s clothing and heels to tell them how to vote.
