March 22, 2026 – A series of nationwide demonstrations known as “No Kings” rallies are scheduled this month, with organizers planning coordinated protests on Saturday, March 28. Events are expected in multiple Alaska communities, including a large gathering in downtown Anchorage.
Organizers describe the rallies as opposition to what they characterize as authoritarian actions by the Trump Administration, particularly related to immigration enforcement, as well as broader issues including foreign policy, civil liberties, and national defense. The March 28 demonstrations are being promoted by a coalition of leftist organizations and grassroots networks, including Indivisible, the “50501” movement, and affiliated unions, the ACLU and Stand Up Alaska.
In Anchorage, organizers say the rally will begin at noon at Town Square Park. The event is expected to include speeches, music, and a march to the Delaney Park Strip, where participants plan to form a large “ICE OUT” display for an aerial photo. Promotional materials indicate guest speakers, American Sign Language interpreters, and enhanced sound equipment funded through donations from labor organizations, including AFL-CIO Alaska.
Local advocacy groups are sharing event details on social media and describe the Anchorage rally as part of a coordinated national mobilization of “No Kings 3.0.”
Previous iterations of “No Kings” protests in 2025 included gatherings in multiple Alaska communities such as Fairbanks, Juneau, Palmer, Homer, Sitka, Ketchikan, Nome, and Kotzebue.
Some of the groups involved in organizing or supporting related advocacy efforts in Alaska have received funding in past years from national organizations and philanthropic foundations. Publicly reported grants include support connected to the Ben & Jerry’s Foundation for collaborative grassroots organizing efforts, as well as partnerships involving networks such as the Center for Popular Democracy and labor-affiliated organizations. These grants have typically focused on advocacy related to issues such as policing, abortion, climate policy, and civic engagement.
The rallies are part of a broader strategy of sustained protest activity targeting Republican administrations, the Marxist “continuous revolution” plan of protesting whatever is a hot topic.

More historical, cultural, economic and political illiteracy at work. It is laughable – who exactly is the ‘king’ they don’t want? They surely do want a king, just no king but big government and communism. They are their own god and big governement directing their lives and supporting them is their king. Of course, money grows on trees also.
Jesus is King.
John Weidler, we plan to take our 3×5 flag that says exactly that to our local No Kings Trumpertantrum protest. We will stand a block or two away from the leftist nutjobs though, just for our own safety.
To simplify: These folks want to ignore and not enforce the immigration laws. They believe that 15+ million illegals in the last five years is not nearly enough. They want to destroy Western culture and civilization as rapidly and as thoroughly as possible. And they are winning.
“They want to destroy Western culture and civilization as rapidly and as thoroughly as possible. And they are winning.”
JMARK may I offer a correction. This crowd wants to destroy Western culture for everyone else but themselves, as they are very happy to utilize the achievements of said culture and expect to continue getting theirs (be it their accumulated wealth or government largess). It is very clear that this protestors have no idea how it would impact them, if any of their demands actually becomes reality. It is the “I am entitled to my opinion, but you are NOT entitle to have yours” attitude, which is so absolutely un-American, anti republic and in the end anti democratic. Really pathetic!
Also I am not sure they are really winning. They just scream the loudest, big deal!
Hmmm, all 12 of them – and paid, you say? Bwahahahahaha!
They need to dye their hair back, get a job and lose 60 lbs.
Trump is way beyond Kings. He is a GOD.
Lunatics with TDS should try, “No More Gods.”
Good one, Jose. Most of the retards going to No Kings are old worn-out, pot smoking hippies who are waiting to croak.
All afflicted with Trump derangement syndrome. The worst thinkers of our citizenry.
And many of those old lefties will be dead before Trump finishes his term. That’s still almost 3 years.
Good thing it’s in Anchorage’s Black-eye district. Few people will see them.
Riiiight, the crowd that struggles with male and female identity knows the difference between a president and a king. Enlightenment defined…
Likely more than 200 first amendment advocates in the ICE free port of Seward on Saturday.
Cute, Evan, Seward has always been an ice-free port. What’s your point?
I bet residents of Seward have better things to do than standing around yelling stupid nonsensical slogans…. tourist season after all is just around the corner.
Woosh!
Oxymoronic
But mostly moronic.
