March 24, 2026 – King’s Christian School Alaska is inviting supporters, families, and community leaders to an evening focused on expanding faith-based education, with a vision-casting fundraising gala titled “Rooted & Rising.

The event on March 27, at 6 pm is both a celebration and a call to action, designed to build partnerships around the school’s future growth, academic development, and student discipleship.

“Last year, we laid the foundation. This year, we rise,” the event announcement states, framing the evening as an opportunity for supporters to invest in the next phase of the school’s mission.

The gala will feature a four-course dinner, a silent auction with curated items and experiences, and presentations outlining the school’s long-term goals. Those goals include expanding learning spaces, strengthening academic programs, and supporting students through faith-centered education. Keynote speaker is Dr. Michael Johnson, former commissioner of the Alaska Department of Education (2016-2022).

Guests will also be presented with specific opportunities to contribute to tangible initiatives, including funding academic programs, updating classrooms and libraries, sponsoring students and families, and supporting future campus growth and facilities.

“This is a night designed to inspire ownership, not obligation,” the announcement reads. “To invite partners—not spectators. To move hearts beyond generosity into alignment with vision.”

School leaders say the event is aimed at businesses, families, churches, and individuals who want to support Christ-centered education in Alaska and help shape what they describe as a long-term educational legacy.

The “Rooted & Rising” gala highlights the school’s continued growth while building financial support for upcoming expansion efforts and program development.

  1. I have noticed driving around that there is an increase of New established Christian private schools and homeschool family programs. seeing them renews my hope every time God is moving in the state (despite its unkempt appearance, corruption, and dysfunction) and MORE parents are responding by at least controlling what they can by taking more control of their children’s education. Because they are learning no one loves their child more than they do and a child with a poorK12 education will result aging parents become permanent caregivers to their adult children and that’s not fair to their child who was mentally capable to grow into a fully independent adult.

There still not enough Ak youth pulled from Alaska Schools and using another better education choice.
If Alaska parents want to force Alaska school districts to respond to the necessary changes for improving Alaska education service and delivery. Change will only start by removing the kids who represents the money.

    1. As long as Alaska Schools are not changing refusing to do what is Right that so many Alaska Children and youth are rapidly removed for better in state or out of state online education putting School District under distress and are just folding up and closing their doors completely because of the State of Alaska pride and foolishness not to listen and not to change. Seems parents are moving in that direction which I think this new generation (GenBeta) of children born after 2019 to the present they will be utilizing k-12 online education even more so than GenAlpha (2007-2018) does today.
