Sen. Rob Yundt has said he paid for the event on Thursday night in which he invited constituents to the Chop House in Wasilla, and during which he promoted Treg Taylor for governor several times.
It was not a meeting that was paid for by his office account as claimed by this news site, he said, adding that he has paid for every single meeting with constituents.
In an earlier report at The Alaska Story, this writer stated that the meeting was paid for by the state treasury, which Yundt says is not accurate.
“It’s off the subject of this matter but I also donate my salary as an elected official to various non-profits, kids sports programs & other programs in my community that could use the money more than I & I’ve done so for my entire 5 years of serving in office,” he wrote.
The original report is here, with the phrase about how the meeting was paid for now corrected at this link:

That is good to hear. Thank you for allowing him to respond.
That is very selfless and the model that more public elected, non profit employees, and pastors should be showing today especially under the higher scrutiny and criticism by the public. These groups wouldn’t be doing what they are doing if it wasn’t for receiving what they are paid.
Still! It doesn’t get him off the hook for Why he a Republican is caucusing with the Democrats instead of respecting his group even when he disagrees with the Republican legislative group. Loyalty is what moves the state right or left.
For example we know there are Democrat voters who are not very happy in the direction of the AKDemocrat party, but they still support their borderline insane candidates while Democrat leaders stick together whether or not they are embarrassed of one another but they keep it to themselves and within their group. Because they know a group will moved in the direction they want to go at a faster speed if they stick together.
I wish more public schools elected officials, non profit executives and employees, and pastors did that put the taxpayer monies they are receiving right in to the service of those receiving it.
What is being a leader. It’s not about your feet being washed and cleaned. It’s about YOU getting down on your hands and knees in the dirt, and washing the dirty, stinky, calloused, blistered, ugly toenailed and fungi feet of others To improve their lives over your own.
That’s why if hairstylists, dentists, and pedicure nail technicians if they really try to go above and beyond from making money. They are admired by me. Because they see people at their most vulnerable and not in their best position (and if the worker is really skilled at what they do as a living) the customers walk away feeling loved, valued, and beautiful.
The 40% voters of Alaska at their heart elects leaders to improve their own and family members lives not the lived of themselves and those whom they hire in government to work alongside them.
Like for example if a groups policies aren’t making it safer to walk down the street without getting victimized
then lawmakers are putting the most vulnerable of the neighbors like the mentally or physically disabled and mentally handicapped, the children, the more naive young adults, and the senior adults because of soft on crime politicians and courts. Then those leaders need to change themselves so to enforce laws that will harden the sentences on neighbors committing crimes to protect your most vulnerable neighbors who most likely can’t defend themselves relying on the service of lawmakers to protect them just as customers relying on the service of hair technicians, pedicure technicians, and dentists to take care of and guide customers how to better take care of their hair, teeth, and feet.

That’s why hairstylists, dentists, and pedicure nail technicians if they really try to go above and beyond from making money by always learning how to improve their hospitality habits and service. They are admired by me. Because those who are in the profession for retirement they see people at their most vulnerable and not in their best position (and if the worker is really skilled at what they do as a living). Then they give a 100% service where the customers walk away feeling loved, valued, and beautiful.

Another thing he needs to leave Sen Giessel and rejoin his Republican colleagues supporting the R minority groups causes
Like respecting the PFD original intention because contrary to those self serving legislators and government dependents, the permanent fund corporation was not created to find the basic services of government.
Those PFDs are a great help to struggling Alaskans like low income seniors, fatherless children not reviving child support because of a state not enforcing child support, foster children in state care or orphans if they recieve their pfd’s, college and trade students using PFDs to lesson their loan borrowing, rural Alaskans l, and the lower income earners. they all appreciate the Bonus they recieve in October. Because that’s what it is. Its the old age bonus that some past business owners used to give to their employees for their loyalty and service especially after a very profitable year. The people of Alaska deserve a state who right size its government departments and divisions or eliminating offices, a budget that lives below its revenue, and a state that honors its own laws such as paying out a Full pfd.
Is there an apology coming Suzanne?
