Oct. 12, 2026 – While previous episodes of the Magical World of Jonathan Kreiss-Tompkins (JKT) focused on policy views that would mostly cost us money, jobs or a future for our kids, his Covid choices end up costing us health and actual lives, in addition to loss of liberty and property. Thanks to the teachers unions, Covid cost kids nationwide a year of education.
Before wandering into the fetid swamp of all things Covid, I do want to acknowledge that the hoax was a masterful affair, orchestrated by a government employee who needed a presidential pardon stretching back six solid years before the pandemic hit the fan.
Why six years? Because Dr. Anthony Fauci, et al, funded the CCP research that created Covid-19 as a biological weapon. It was incompetence at the Wuhan lab that released it, a fact they immediately suspected, but hid from the public for years.
As it turns out, all Covid era mitigation measures were pulled out of thin air, or various bodily orifices. There was (and is) no science supporting lockdowns, six-foot separation, masking, outdoor masking, banning family from dying elderly, vaxxing infants and children, closing schools or anything else.
On the other hand, there is a LOT of data supporting vaccination injuries, including the ever-popular myocarditis, still denied by the intelligentsia.
Source for all this? Fauci himself, via his diary.
Where does JKT come in?
Like a lot of people during the early stages of Covid, JKT was in a complete panic, going into a top-down mandate mode, signing a May 1 letter asking Adam Crum to mandate statewide masking in cases where social distancing is difficult. I can find no reporting of anything he did to push back against any Covid mitigation mandate from Fauci, Brix, and their gang of merry medical malpractitioners.
JKT’s position was generally somewhere between lockstep support and demanding more.
He was part of an organization that created a tool to track Covid stresses on public health systems in March of 2020. Sadly, this tool never tracked, nor was interested in tracking any damage caused by the vax, though to be fair, the vax wasn’t rolled out for another six months. Still, the tool was tracking Covid impact, and vax damage is an impact.
His infamous signature on an April, 2021, letter to the Pelosi House leadership reads more like support for a continuing grab for free money from congress than anything else. The majority of the letter concerns the Pelosi House involvement in clean energy, another slush fund for democrats.
Five or six years ago, JKT was in fully terrified, Covid will kill us all mode, so his response to anything, everything was to immediately mitigate it. Over the years, we’ve found that the zombie apocalypse pandemic was manmade and every single one of the mitigation responses, ones that JKT itself wholeheartedly supported and demanded, were fraudulent.
The most important question for him today is did he learn anything from the affair, starting with the hoax and ending with his public response to it?
A lot of us questioned Gov. Mike Dunleavy on his Covid response, but it turns out that he was reasonable, measured, and allowed local governments to craft their own responses. While I disagree with this approach, I do understand it. The worst thing he did was allow his public health mouthpiece, Anne Zink, to run wild.
Will JKT do any better than Dunleavy did? Or will he default to his previously demonstrated cramdown mode? Has he learned anything over the years?
I would suggest no. Here’s why.
We can use his support for renewables as an example. In his platform, while the verbiage describing his support for renewables has changed a bit, his support for them as the first solution to Alaska’s energy problems remains unchanged, with renewables always his first option.
Given that, there is no reason to believe his response to the next pandemic will be any different than it was five or six years ago.
Nowhere in JKT’s world is any consideration which constitutional rights were trampled by the Covid response shouldn’t been trampled. Why were First Amendment freedoms tossed aside so easily? Why did the government and employers get away with firing people who refused the vax, a vax that is still killing a bunch of them today?
Anyone who can be terrified into using government to force you to comply is a dangerous person to have in office. Years after the entire affair is demonstrated to be a hoax, where is JKT’s acknowledgement of his mistake or even the possibility of a discussion? Given that, how can we trust him to make the appropriate decision next time?
And there will always be another scare. What will JKT do then?

I had an interesting chat with a man at a coffee shop today. He was probably in his 70’s, white beard, a bit chubby and wearing a yellow JKT button. He seemed intelligent enough so I engaged with him and asked about JKT’s candidacy. All he could tell me was that JKT went to Yale, he lives in beautiful Sitka, Alaska and his mother is a retired doctor. So I pressed him without being rude and asked him what JKT’s degree was from Yale College?: He said that JKT dropped out of college to run for politics. OK. Does he own a house, or does he have a family and children? Nope. But JKT’s mom is a respected doctor. OK. What is JKT’s primary political platform and where does he want to take Alaska, I asked. The stranger said it doesn’t matter, so long as he isn’t Mike Dunleavy’s third term and so long as he gives as much as possible to public education. Wow! That’s all? How about our permanent fund checks? Nope. JKT will end the dividend program and get the earnings amount into public education. I thanked the man for his comments and he gave me a JKT button in return.
.
This gives you an idea of how the left is approaching the governor’s race. Silly lefties don’t want JKT vetted out to the public, because they don’t want you to know that JKT is a homosexual who lives with his mom in Sitka, is a college drop out and his only experience or qualification for elected office is that the hypnotized folks in Sitka elected him to the Legislature.
.
The joke is on us.
