Linda Boyle: Here’s your chance to protect your child

Sept. 2, 2026 – President Donald Trump signed Executive Order (EO) 14420, “Delivering Gold Standard Childhood Vaccine Recommendations for Americans”, on Aug. 10.

The president re-iterated the following recommendations made by the CDC in 2024: The Measle, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) shot needs to be divided into three separate shots, not one mega-vaccine. Children only need to get 11 immunizations versus the 18 being pushed by Big Pharma and the American Academy of Pediatrics.  The immunizations should be spread farther apart and, most importantly, parents should have true informed consent to make shared decisions with their healthcare provider about immunizing their children.  

This EO also directed the Department of Health and Human Services to  establish a task force and provide to the president plans to improve vaccine research and expanding options for parents.  

That’s where you come in.  

HHS wants you to provide them input on whether the following categories currently used in Federal vaccine recommendations are adequate. These current categories are routine (universal) recommendations, risk-based recommendations, and recommendations based on shared clinical decision-making, also referred to as individual-based decision-making.

Note that the categories include a personal choice—individual-based decision-making.  In other words, should you have the right to decide on your vaccinations or should it be left up to the so-called experts.

Do you think those categories are adequate, understandable, or are additional or different categories needed?  HHS also wants your opinion on considerations that “should be relied upon in setting vaccine recommendations, including the availability and strength of available scientific evidence, the appropriate approach when randomized controlled trial evidence is limited or absent, a presumption in favor of individual autonomy and religious freedom, the downstream legal and programmatic consequences of category assignment, and the communication practices necessary to earn and maintain public trust.”

Translation:  Should you, the government or Big Pharma make the decision if you should get a vaccination?

Now is your chance to let your voice be heard!  You can have an impact on these vaccination rules.

Immunization requirements are a critical discussion for all of us.  With the Covid years, there has been a loss of trust in the government concerning recommendations. 

There has been opposition on CDC recommendations by Big Pharma and the establishment medical associations that gain money by supporting Big Pharma.  Greed seems to be a big player when it comes to vaccinations, especially childhood vaccinations.

What we need is a system that is apolitical. One that provides truth concerning vaccines and what you as a parent should do or not do in protecting your child.  

Am I anti-vax?  Absolutely not.  With my one grandchild, we have worked  with a doctor I trust to determine which shots she should get and which ones should be given later than the “recommended” time frame.  Additionally, my daughter has spaced the shots out.
