US Rep. Eric Swalwell of California is facing potential sexual harassment allegations from multiple women, including former staffers, according to statements circulating from the leader of a progressive advocacy organization who says she has been working with accusers preparing to come forward.
Media reports indicate the group’s executive director has been coordinating with women who describe a pattern of alleged inappropriate conduct, including claims that Swalwell pursued younger women and interns and used non-disclosure agreements.
Additional women came forward after an initial social media post and that legal representation has been secured as they prepare to share information with major outlets. No formal complaint has yet been filed publicly.
The claims come as Swalwell is running for governor of California, where polling has shown him among leading candidates in a crowded field. The allegations could complicate that race.
The controversy also has an Alaska footnote. Swalwell traveled to Juneau in September 2023 to headline a fundraiser for then-US Rep. Mary Peltola. The event, hosted by the Tongass Democrats at a private home on North Douglas Island in Juneau, featured Swalwell and was aimed at boosting Peltola’s reelection effort. Peltola became an ally of Swalwell in Congress.
Peltola, who lost her 2024 reelection bid to Congressman Nick Begich, is now mounting a challenge to US Sen. Dan Sullivan. Her past political association with Swalwell is likely to draw renewed scrutiny if the allegations develop further.
At this stage, the claims remain unverified. Reports indicate individuals involved are working with attorneys and coordinating potential disclosures.

Just another birds of a feather story. Scum of the earth.
“Smallwell” Fang Fang and Scary Mary would make an interesting trio if the chips fallout in the right order. 🙂
