Democrat ramps up call for what sounds like a military coup

Sen. Mark Warner of Virginia has ignited a political firestorm after appearing on cable station MS NOW’s Morning Joe and suggesting that the US military may need to “save” the country from President Donald Trump.

His remarks immediately drew accusations that he was openly encouraging a military coup against a duly elected president just one year into his term.

This comes after a group of of Democrats last week openly called for troops to disobey orders.

“Unprecedented disrespect when they were all brought to get a pep rally in front of Hegseth and Trump,” Warner said, apparently referring to a September meeting in which Pete Hegseth addressed military leaders and told them the era of Biden-era policies was over.

Warner cited personnel changes inside the administration as evidence of what he characterized as troubling politicization.

“This is an administration that has fired uniformed generals from the head of the NSA, the head of the defense intelligence agency,” he said.

Warner then went further, making the statement, “I think, in many ways, the uniformed military may help save us from this President, and his lame people like Hegseth because I think their commitment is to the Constitution and obviously not to Trump, and I expect Bradley to adhere to that.”

This was a call for the military to intervene against the elected commander-in-chief. Many interpreted Warner’s phrasing as an endorsement of military refusal to follow presidential authority, or even active resistance to it.

The exchange marks the latest escalation in what some are describe as a“color revolution” strategy among Democrats, which is an effort to delegitimize and politically undermine Trump through institutional pressure, rather than through electoral means.

  1. Yeh. Those cartel boats and their crews should be allowed to bring weapons of mass destruction (drugs) into our country. And if we happen to intercept one we need to put them up in hotels and pay for their defense lawyers.

    1. Unfortunately for your lack of thought, those boats are likely loaded with cocaine headed to Europe. Why are we spending tens of millions per day to protect Europe?!?!

  2. I am reminded of the old Southern-ism about alligator mouths and hummingbird backsides. Even Lisa is smart enough (though that’s a very low bar) not to muck around in this. Cheers –

  3. Warner is as deep state as they get (think Mike Turner in the House). Their interests (or their masters) are power and war.

Warner is calling for insurrection and ought to be treated as such. I think insurrection and its close cousin treason are capital crimes. What will the administration do?
