Feb. 22, 2026 – An armed man who breached the secure perimeter of Mar-a-Lago early Sunday morning was fatally shot by US Secret Service agents and a deputy from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, authorities confirmed.
The incident occurred around 1:30 am Eastern Time on Sunday, when the man, described as being in his early 20s, entered the secured area of President Donald Trump’s Palm Beach residence and private club.
According to an official statement from the Secret Service, agents observed the man near the north gate of the property carrying what appeared to be a shotgun and a fuel can. Law enforcement confronted the man after he crossed into the inner security perimeter.
Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw said during a joint press conference with federal authorities that the man initially lowered the fuel can but then raised the shotgun into a firing position toward officers.
At that point, two Secret Service agents and one sheriff’s deputy opened fire.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet officially released his identity, pending notification of next of kin. Early reports described him as a white male in his early 20s. Law enforcement said a vehicle connected to the suspect was found nearby, and a box for the weapon was reportedly located inside.
No Secret Service personnel or deputies were injured during the encounter.
Importantly, neither President Donald Trump nor any other individual under Secret Service protection was present at the property at the time of the incident. The president was in Washington, DC, according to his public schedule.
The Secret Service stated that, in accordance with agency policy, the involved agents have been placed on routine administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
The shooting is now under joint investigation by the Secret Service, the FBI, and the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities said they are examining the suspect’s background, potential motives, and the circumstances surrounding the use of force.
A photograph released by law enforcement later in the morning showed a shotgun and a gas can carried by the suspect during the breach.
Just weeks ago, the mayor of Palm Beach threatened to close Mar-a-Lago unless Secret Service reopened the lanes they closed off around the club following the first assassination attempt of Trump last year at that site.

I wonder if these are the white nationalists the left has been warning us of? During the Obama/Biden/Harris Administration they never stopped warning us that these people were coming, who knew that they were literally warning us that their political stooges were what they were talking about? The last two would be Trump assassin’s were white nationalists males sent to do the bidding of their political masters.
I knew…!…wonder who paid him?
Another poor young man radicalized by the Democrats
Who knows whatever ways he Grieved his parents but he left them one last grief. To bury their son after his selfishness.
This scripture is a warning to all kids everywhere “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you” (Exodus 20:12)
In Anchorage the last twenty years there are lots of youth and young adults who died heartbreaking deaths before their 25th birthday. Deaths that came after making bad choices that don’t honor their parents. I wonder how long did they live like that grieving their parents with bad choices over n over again before one last one put the nail in the coffin?
