Republican Party district leaders in Alaska Senate District N have formally filed charges against Sen. Rob Yundt, accusing the Wasilla senator of repeatedly violating the Alaska Republican Party Platform through his legislative actions.
The charges were submitted under Article VII of the Alaska Republican Party Rules and request censure and disciplinary sanctions. The filing was made by registered Republican voters who are constituents of Senate District N and directed to the District 27 and District 28 Republican committees, which are responsible for notice, hearings, and potential enforcement.
According to the filing, Yundt’s actions are alleged to conflict with core Republican principles including limited government, fiscal responsibility, individual liberty, and constitutional protections.
Central to the complaint is Yundt’s sponsorship and support of House Bill 57, which the charging parties say expanded government surveillance and dramatically increased education spending. The complaint argues that HB 57 violates multiple planks of the Republican platform, including provisions supporting limited government, protection of constitutional rights, fiscal restraint, and minimizing government intrusion into family life.
The charges further note that when Gov. Michael Dunleavy vetoed HB 57, citing concerns that aligned with the Republican platform, Yundt voted with every Democratic legislator to override the veto.
The filing alleges that HB 57 mandates the long-term tracking of Alaska high school graduates for at least 20 years, collecting education, career, and residency data without individual consent. The charging parties argue this violates the right to privacy guaranteed under Article I, Section 22 of the Alaska Constitution.
In addition, the complaint states that HB 57 made funding allocations contingent on passage of Senate Bill 113, which would create an education fund supported by new tax revenues. Yundt also supported SB 113, which the filing claims imposes new tax burdens on consumers and small businesses, contrary to the party’s opposition to new taxes and government-directed redistribution of wealth.
The charges also cite Yundt’s sponsorship of Senate Bill 92, which proposed a targeted 9.2% tax on a major private-sector energy producer supplying natural gas to Southcentral Alaska. The complaint argues that such a tax threatens energy affordability and heating security while undermining the Republican platform’s support for free enterprise, responsible resource development, and a business-friendly environment.
Taken together, the filing asserts that Yundt’s legislative record reflects a repeated pattern of conduct inconsistent with Republican values and priorities.
The charging parties are requesting that the district committees schedule a formal hearing, provide Yundt with notice and an opportunity to respond, and, if the charges are upheld by a two-thirds vote, impose the maximum sanctions allowed under party rules. Those sanctions could include formal censure, withdrawal of party endorsement and support, authorization to recruit and support a Republican challenger, exclusion from party meetings and events, and a public declaration that Yundt’s conduct is inconsistent with Republican principles.
The request further asks that any sanctions remain in effect for the duration of Yundt’s time in public office and be documented in a written decision provided to the senator.
At the time of publication, Sen. Yundt had not publicly responded to the charges.

Why hasn’t Lisa been censored?
She has been censored, several times, but it doesn’t mean anything. The Alaska Republican Party can issue censure proclamations on Lisa every day, but they carry no legal weight. She can legally run as a Republican to fool the gullible. The Alaska Supreme Court has ruled that the Alaska Republican Party cannot prevent her from declaring herself as a Republican. With Ranked Choice Voting and Open Primaries, engineered by Lisa supporters, Lisa doesn’t give a $hit what the Alaska Republicans want. She doesn’t care. The Alaska Republican Party is NOT her base. If you want to get rid of Lisa, vote to end Ranked Choice Voting and the Open (Jungle) Primary System. We need to go back to Closed Primaries, where only registered Republicans can vote to keep Lisa off of our ballots.
If only it were truly closed. Undeclared libs and progs can queer those primary votes, though not as easily as the moronic jungle 🐂💩
Jared McClure….the guy putting anti-Bernadette flyers on all the cars at the Valley “UNITY” rally? That guy? Another bunch of Eastman worshipers driving the kool-aid. Lots of credibility there I’ll tellya.ttal
Rob Yundt is a good man. Sorry to him trashed.
That’s illegal to be placing pamphlets on vehicles.
If a vehicle is supposedly damaged by a flyer. The flyer or tract sponsor can be legally held responsible for damage.
Damaged vehicle Tina? How so?
Anchorage is blue, Fairbanks is blue, next up is Wasilla, Palmer, then Kenai and Soldotna
Just like a domino effect
Democrats are doing it by making Republican members government dependent that they can’t afford to rightsize government and spending
I always have to wonder, do these people plan to come out like this before they are elected, or is there some irresistible force in Juneau that corrupts them? Somebody has to know.
Valley Republicans can vote him out, but the chances of voting for another government dependent Republican for Yundts replacement is very likely chance
Yundt not sticking with the group he is carrying its name is Not a good man. A good man character willl stick with the group he is supposed to be representing whether or not he agrees with them. A good man who no longer wants to represent the banner he is carrying will resign because his Name and reputation means something to him.
