Another day, another insult to the nation from the Anchorage School District. The district’s calendar lists Veterans Day not as a holiday to honor those who served our nation but as a professional development day for teachers.
The oversight was noted by parents. Tuesday, Nov. 11, long a traditional national holiday, is not acknowledged, although below it, Thanksgiving is acknowledged as a national holiday.

Why would any military families continue being enrolled at ASD. It’s just like sending your child across enemy lines to be schooled by the enemy, an enemy who will raise up your child to destroy you.
For years, I’ve asked my friends and neighbors why we should continuing supporting the ASD. This is yet another nail in that oblong box of my protestations.
